Dr. King Rollins, Chiropractor

Personal History
When I came into this world, my family lived on a farm in Lyman, Wyoming.  Unfortunately we moved many times when I was as a child.  I have lived in the states of Wyoming, Utah, Idaho and California.  I finished High School in Los Angeles where I excelled in mathematics and science.  I enjoyed being part of the Marching band, the jazz band, the Choir, and the Drama class.  I also enjoyed sports and was a member of the Cross Country and Track teams.

Having completed a correspondence course in small engine mechanics at age 11, and having participated in auto shop classes in High School, I decided to work as an auto mechanic after I graduated from High School.  I worked for 2 years as an auto mechanic in Hollywood,  I enjoyed working as a mechanic but could see very little future in it.  I was also concerned with the black gunk that I continually coughed up from my lungs when I would go for my evening running workouts, so I decided to get an education.

In 1981, I started school at Ricks College in Idaho.  While there I joined the track team and competed in many Western States.  I really enjoyed the track team even though I was not a top runner.  I found my speed to be about right to train with the top woman on the team.  I was not long before I had married her( the only Catholic in an all Mormon college).  Together we trained hard for many years and then shortly after I graduated from Chiropractic College, she qualified for and ran the Marathon in the 1988 Olympic Games.  She was on the Irish Team, unfortunately this relationship did not last and in 1990 we separated and were divorced.

In 1991 I was lucky enough to meet a wonderful woman, named Stella Mendez.  She=s from Colombia, South America.  Stella rescued me when I was at my life=s lowest point.  Stella is an athlete as well, having competed in Colombia on the  Bike,  both on the roads and on the Velodrome track.  She is a bit modest and doesn't=t like me to brag about her so I will just say that she is the strongest woman I have ever met, both physically and mentally.  We were married in 1993 and now have a family of 5 children.  I love her very much.

I have coached and provided care to many runners for the past 18 years.  I am a veteran of dozens of marathons and ultra marathons. My marathon pr is 2:38:37, and my 10k pr of 33:00.  Many local, nationally ranked and a few Olympic class runners have achieved their personal best times at races from 5k to 100 miles while utilizing my services.

I use mostly hands on techniques, and have a reputation as a top quality adjuster.  I am also proficient at Activator, Pettibon and Torque release instrument adjustments, but prefer to use my hands.  Prior to finishing Chiropractic College I earned a living providing deep tissue massage to athletes at the office of Dr. Rick Morris= in Santa Monica California.  At the time his office was primarily devoted to providing care for athletes.  We were the designated chiropractic office for the Los Angeles Clippers.   I owned my own Chiropractic office in Toluca Lake for 15 years prior to our recent move to Southern UtahWhile practicing in California I gained the reputation as a children=s Chiropractor.  This was do to some wonderful success story=s,  one of which made the front page of the Sunday Daily News.

I continually update my knowledge and skills, my most recent educational certification is in the field of addiction.

General Walter (the General in the "War on Drugs").  The drug Czar is a member of president Bush's Cabinet.  He's the big guy in the middle.  I'm the little guy on the far left.
